About the Coaching Staff: Dr. Benson is a Harvard trained psychiatrist and Co-author of the Best Selling book "Nothing But Net". As a member of Harvard Medical School's clinical faculty for the past 10 years, Dr. Benson uses his knowledge and experience through strength-based approaches to work with individuals who perform or work in high stress conditions. Through a structured transition process he coaches high achievers to reach their "Next Level" of success enabling them to increase their influence, impact and income. Dr. Benson's motto is "I help the Best get Better".
Under Coach Taylor's tenure at Hampton University, Dr. Benson was a scholarship athlete playing the position of tight end. During this period he was a 3-time GTE Football Academic All-American and received the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame "Scholar-Athlete" Award. Upon graduation, he was awarded Hampton University's highest honor, The President's Cup. Dr. Benson went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed his training in adult psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital, an affiliate program of Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Mann obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1971, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles in 1974. He obtained post-graduate training in Executive Coaching and Organization Development from the William James Institute of the Professional School of Psychology. He practiced as a licensed psychologist from 1976-2002. He has appeared on Fox Sport's Net, Fox 25 Moring Show, the Gary Collin's Show, Good Morning America and numerous radio interview shows including Voice America. In the past he wrote a monthly column for the Arizona Golfer and was on the faculty at the Golf Academy of America.
Dr. Mann integrates an interesting background of clinical psychology, yoga and mediation training and executive coaching to a sport psychology/mental game of golf approach. He has played sports all his life. As a child he was involved in organized baseball and went to the Western Boy's Baseball Association World Series. He had a 14-0 pitching record in Pony League and hit 491.
As an adult he has taken his love of sports into Peak Performance Coaching coaching. He holds a single digit handicap and has worked with the UCLA women's and men's golf teams; Lee Brandon, Long Drive World Champions; high school golf and baseketball teams, and college baseball players. He also provided seminars for the Ventura County Junior Golf Association, AZ Junior Golf Association, several country clubs and works with junior and adult golfers.
He is the author of Find the Zone: Master the Mental Game of Golf (v. I & II) an audio CD; The book The Yoga of Golf; and Bouncing Back: How to Recover When Life Knocks You Down, which is based upon interviews with world class athletes.
